Breakfast Club - Response to Questionnaires

15th May 2018

Dear Parent,

Thank-you so much for taking the time to fill in our Breakfast Club questionnaire. Your feedback is really important to us. We have read all of them and would like to update you by responding to some queries raised. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We offer food which is high in fibre as this helps to prevent hunger pangs mid-morning.

Due to Nutritional guidelines there are items which we are no longer able to serve at Breakfast Club such as bacon butties and chocolate flavoured or sugar coated cereals. We try to keep all of the children happy and feel that in Breakfast Club they get a healthy and nutritious start to their day in school.

  • Your children have a choice of the following cereals: Cheerios, Shreddies, Rice Krispies, Cornflakes, Weetabix and Porridge with or without fruit.
  • After their cereal the children can also have warm buttered toast with either scrambled egg, cheddar cheese or beans.
  • We offer a lovely selection of drinks such as tea, milk, apple juice, pure orange juice and water.

The club is very busy and the number of children attending each morning has climbed to over 80. We have a happy, friendly and relaxed atmosphere due to the wonderful supervisors and canteen staff. While eating the children can sit and chat with their friends or watch TV. Once they have finished eating there is a vast range of fun activities the children can do by themselves if they wish or with a group of friends. We hope your child continues to come along and have fun in Breakfast Club!

Thank-you,

Mrs. Bradley and Miss. Kane
