People who help us!

21st Feb 2018

This month we will be highlighting the work and roles of people in the community and those who are there to help us. Our play, stories and discussions will include doctors, nurses, firefighters, the dentist, vets, life guards, the coastguard, police officers, refuge collectors, etc. Will are also focusing more on physical development and movement and will be taking part in some indoor activities in the assembly hall to enhance our skills and abilities around this area. Our numeracy focus will include rote counting to 10, counting up to 5 objects, identifying colours and sorting (these focuses will be adapted to suit your individual child's ability so all children are progressing at a rate that is appropriate to them). As always we encourage the children to talk and take part in conversations, songs and rhymes to enhance their language and literacy skills. We will continue to have story time daily, and free access to books and text through the day in nursery. We hope you are still enjoying our lending library each week, the children just love 'book day' every Friday 😊

If if there is anything you would like to ask please free free to ask a member of the nursery team who will be happy to help!
