April-May 2018
Our final term promises to be a very busy one!
Primary 2 will be beginning their new theme 'Growing is Great' and the children will be learning all about growing plants, how animals change through growth and looking after pets. Let's hope the sun comes out as we might need it to help some growing to happen in the classroom.
P4s are going to 'set sail' in their new theme. We will be looking at hot and cold lands and our own coastline. There will be lots of opportunities for writing, finding out and research.
Primary 7s are exploring the rainforest. Lots of research tell us that the rainforests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Perhaps the p7s will be able to persuade people to look after the rainforests, through their persuasive writing.
During May, the children will be completing class tests and computerised tests.
Try to help your child by revising their spellings, asking questions about the stories they are reading and check written homework - don't forget to sign it when completed.
