As part of our shared lessons with St Brigid's, in connection with this term's World Around Us topic of 'Hunger', the boys and girls in the P7 classes in both schools had the opportunity to work collaboratively to create artistic representations of hedgerows. Beginning by rolling paint onto sheets of card, the children moved around the room to one another's 'works in progress', drawing and colouring branches, leaves, thorns and all manner of living creatures with oil pastels and charcoals. Once complete, we laid out each of the finished pieces and had the opportunity to chat and share which ones we thought stood out. Have a look at the photos!
