In Mad 4 Maths today Primary 1 played a money bingo game. They were given bingo boards which displayed pennies and cards which displayed a written amount of money. Each child took it in turn to lift a card and if they had the matching amount on their bingo board they covered it with the card. Once all 6 parts of the board had been covered by a card we had a bingo winner. Well done to Sophie and Maxwell who were our winners. The boys and girls also played car parking lot. They had to listen to instructions carefully and park their car ontop of a number after 5 for example. Primary 1 enjoyed this game and also working with their partner to guess the number they had parked their car on. Primary 1 were only allowed to give clues by saying, 'I have parked my car on the number after ....'. The session finished with Primary 1 using the iPads to order numbers via a ladybird game. On day 2 Primary 1 played a game which helped them to recognise 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p coins.
