Primary 5 have been looking at instructional writing. They have become familiar with the features of instructional writing and have taken a recipe and colour coded the different features. Primary 5 have looked at good examples of instructional writing as well as bad examples and they have given suggestions as to how the bad instructions could be improved. All their suggestions were very sensible and were great ways to improve the instructions.
