Primary 5 were learning about similes today during a grammar lesson. They know that similes are where two things are compared and the word 'as' is used. The children had fun taking part in a similes quiz via a PowerPoint and then they completed a worksheet where they had to take an item and compare it with something else to make a simile. They enjoyed doing this and even started suggesting some of their own similes. As well as this the boys and girls then inserted some adjectives which were missing into similes. The children listened well today and worked hard which will hopefully benefit them when they come to write a poem about Spring which contains similes.
