Miss Galloway's Primary 5 Literacy Support group

Primary 5 have been learning when to use an apostrophe. So far they have learned we use apostrophe s to show that something belongs to someone. We discussed how we use an apostrophe s for single nouns. Primary 5 started off during the lesson by writing on whiteboards long sentences to show that something belonged to someone. We then discussed how it does not always make sense to say 'These are the parents belonging to Seth' so the children were taught to use an apostrophe s to say 'Seth's parents'. During this lesson Primary 5 were very accurate when using apostrophe s. Keep it up Primary 5 and well done!
