Miss Galloway's Primary 5 Literacy Support group
9th Mar 2018
In grammar Primary 5 are learning how to use an apostrophe to contract words. They were introduced to the 'Squeezeomatic' machine which takes two words and squeezes them together to make one word. Primary 5 noticed when the single word came out of the machine there was a letter missing and it had been replaced by an apostrophe. The children enjoyed using their whiteboards to practise writing and spelling contractions. Then they enjoyed using folding cards to make contractions.
