Our topic has been ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’ and we learned lots of things about the farm and where our food comes from. We used cream and milk from Miss McConnell’s farm to make butter using a butter churn. We also put some in a jar and shook it to see how it turned into butter. We watched clips from a farm, looking at what cows eat and all the different animals you get on a farm.
We had fun looking at some equipment that vets use. Miss McConnell’s brother is a vet and he let us try on some veterinary gloves, bandages and a gown.
