We have been looking at the apple trees in our school orchard. We talked about the roots, trunk, branches, leaves and apples and we had a good look around the trees. We saw lots of apples on the ground that animals and birds had been eating. We picked apples and cut them up in class to see what was inside and what happens to them when they are cut. We also did some labelling activities and tried to write the words ourselves.
