On Monday 16th April Primary 3 were given a talk by Action Cancer as part of PDMU. The children discussed the important ways of being healthy such as eating fruit and vegetables and getting plenty of exercise. The children were told about 4 main characters; Lazy Lisa, Terrible Tar Jar, Fizzy Sherbot and Mr. Blister. Through exploring these characters the children were reminded of some important ways to be healthy and stay safe in the sun.
- Lazy Lisa taught us the importance of exercise.
- Terrible Tar Jar warned us of the dangers of smoking.
- Fizzy Sherbot reminded us to eat 5 portions of healthy fruit and vegetables each day.
- Mr. Blister taught us how to take care in the sun by wearing a hat, putting on suncream and covering our bodies with a t-shirt.
