The children in P3 from Ballykeel and St. Brigid's PS met again today to complete an Autumn art activity. Each child brought a piece of fruit or a vegetable to school and we put them all together in groups to make a face. Our inspiration came from an artist called Giuseppe Arcimboldo who painted portraits of people using flowers, leaves, fruit and vegetables. The children had great fun and were able to be super creative in making portraits in this style. The group work skills were excellent and the children enjoyed bonding more with each other through working together in their groups. Some pictures of their creations are below.
