On a really hot day we visited the castle but we were all able to keep cool with the sea breeze and inside the castle was cool because of the thick stone walls. We had learned about castles and life inside castles in our theme 'Home Sweet Home', so it was really good to see actually some of the things we had heard about. We enjoyed dressing up and visiting the banquet hall.We even saw the King on the toilet!! We were able to picnic on the grass and we ended the day with a trip to Maud's ice cream shop!
