Our new theme is called, 'Through the eyes of a child' where we learn all about World War 2 and what life was like for children then. We started to look at what evacuation was and how the children were called evacuees if they had to leave home to go to the countryside. Together the class looked at photos of evacuees and in particular what they wore. The children then drew a picture of themselves as an evacuee and coloured it in using dark colours. We squeezed tea bags over the pictures to give it an old effect.
