P5BE have been enjoying a mini-topic recently - the Rugby World Cup. This was held in Japan over a 6 week period and finished off with a great final between England and South Africa. We learnt a little bit about Japan, the sport of rugby, and we followed all the results online and recorded them on our own charts. We were each given a team to support and researched information about that country and designed a new kit for the team. We learnt how the matches are scored and how the group stage table is calculated. We interpreted the tables and answered questions. We even got to watch some snippets of games during school! I think everyone has enjoyed learning about rugby, and congratulations to Jesse as his team South Africa were the overall winners!
