P5BE experience some cave art
16th Nov 2018
As part of our 'Prove It' theme, this week we have been looking at Stone Age Cave Art. We looked at drawings found on walls of caves in France and talked about how simple they were compared to art today, and why. Then we hunted around the school grounds to find materials we could use to draw with. We all had a go at drawing a bull - no pencils allowed! We used things like grass, moss, leaves, mud and berries. Everyone decided it is much easier for them to draw pictures today than it was for Stone Age children. These is what we produced using only natural materials.
