During anti-bullying week our class read a book called 'Sammy's Shoes.' This looked at how children with autism can behave and how they are an easy target for bullies. We had good discussions about many issues that arose from this book. On Kindness Day we spent the day complimenting each other. We looked for positive things to say about each other and wrote these down on 'My Collection of Compliments' sheet. We also talked about the theme for the week - RESPECT! Every child considered what the word 'respect' meant to them and they wrote their feelings down on a coloured tulip shaped piece of card. These will be used to create a large display.
