we had our third shared visit with our friends from St Brigid's today and what a day we had. The children got the opportunity to meet and hear from a local stain glass artist - Dave Esler. He talked to the children about his love of art and poetry as a child and how his career progressed. He had lots of sketches, plans and samples of his work to show the children. The children and staff loved hearing about the process of creating the windows and he patiently answered the many questions the children had. His work can be seen in many buildings around Northern Ireland including Antrim Hospital, Stormont Castle and several churches. A very inspiring and interesting visitor today and hopefully we can produce some stained glass inspired artwork as well!
