Together with our friends from St Brigid's, we worked hard to create character profiles for the three children, Eily, Michael and Peggy, from Under the Hawthorn Tree.
We thought that the qualities and skills these children had were amazing! Without parents, they set off on a difficult journey to find their aunts in Castletaggert.
Eily was full of determination, Michael was able to hunt for food, and Peggy, even though she was very young, worked hard not to be too afraid!
We were also impressed with their survival skills!
