We've been looking at artwork created by London artist, Este Macleod. She has a unique style of creating her paintings, which really interested the class. Check Este's work out on Instagram or on Etsy by searching for her name.
Este begins some of her paintings by writing a word or phrase related to the art she is creating. We liked this idea and some of us used this to help begin our own work.
We enjoyed watching Este create texture in her work, and we have tried to create texture using a variety of different mark making techniques.
We're not all finished yet, but great art takes time!
