P7G - Jen Aryani Snowglobes
We really enjoy looking at artist's work to help inspire our own pieces. This term we spent time talking about some famous artists such as Van Gogh and Peter Bruegel. We also like looking at modern artists. We studied some of Tom Shelton's paintings when discussing colour, and have spent time looking at Jen Aranyi's work.
Using an art tutorial by American Art Teacher, Cassie Stephens, we created some snowglobes inspired by Jen's work. We spent time learning how watercolours move and mix, using these techniques to create a beautiful sky. Thinking about space within a picture, we created a mountain scene with trees in the foreground. After this had all dried we created our own glitter glue to give the landscape a snowy effect.
We love our circular paintings and we hope that you'll agree!
Merry Christmas from all in P7G!
