P7SG - Gardening
3rd Sep 2018
My class last year started to re-grow a pineapple plant from the top of a pineapple as part of our Rainforest topic. We watched as small roots began to develop from the bottom on the leaves.
The roots have grown well now, and so, my new class helped to replant the pineapple. We decided to leave the plant in the polytunnel, where it will be warm throughout the winter months. Hopefully, we will be able to see a new fruit begin to grow.
We also planted some new plants into our flower bed to give some winter colour. We loved the purple colour of the heather and can't wait to see how the brassica or cabbage will grow.
