Scripture Union gives the children the opportunity to learn more about God in a fun and exciting way. This year we have 20 children coming along to Scripture Union each week which is really wonderful.
Every week, we begin Scripture Union with some juice and biscuits to refuel after a busy day at school! We then enjoy a variety of different activities including stories, drama, singing, craft, Bible readings, quiz time and prayer activities.
During this first term children from P4-P7 will be thinking about the ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Each week the children will explore one of these ‘fruits’, looking at examples of characters in the Bible who showed them and thinking about how they can show these ‘fruits’ in their lives too. Over the next few weeks there will also be two visitors, Rachel Sheppard and Matthew Boyd, coming along to speak to the children.
We hope that the children will learn about God in a fun way and that they will participate in discussion to help them understand more about God and the Bible.
