We have been learning about the Elements of Art in P7, beginning with Line and Shape.
Today we discussed how we can use lines to create texture, moods and shapes within a painting. We used the skills we had learned to create a still life drawing of fruit. We looked at the fruit which Mrs Gregg had brought in, talking about the colours, the shape and sizes.
To help us begin our drawing, we sketched some ideas onto rough paper. We had to choose which paper and medium we wanted to use to create our drawing. We had talked about how different papers and medium give different effects. After making our decisions, we began to draw our interpretation of the fruit.
Once we had all finished, we created a mini art gallery in the classroom and invited Mrs Sheeran to have a look at our completed pieces.
