We had so many excited children when the snow arrived one morning. We took the opportunity to learn from this and went on a snow walk, collecting some to take inside and examine. We talked about how it felt, where it had came from, why it snows, and what happens to it after it lands on the ground. We used lots of great language; cold, freezing, melting, fall, winter, season, gather, solid, liquid, ice, etc. And when we finished exploring, we used it as our craft activity and painted it 😊 What a great day in nursery!
